bridgeUkraine offers free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Seminars tailored to support Ukrainian engineers, students, and professionals in applying Eurocodes to real-world infrastructure projects.


Bilingual seminars and CPD activities are delivered in collaboration with the State Enterprise “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” (SE “NIDI”), the main research institute of Ukraine on construction, repair and maintenance of highways and transport facilities and the main organization on pricing in road economy.

On 17 November 2025 bridgeUkraine, together with UCL and SE “NDI”, delivered an online CPD seminar “Corrosion – the Silent Enemy of Recovery and Infrastructure” . The session was led by Dr Fuad Khoshnaw (De Montfort University, UK), editor of the Elsevier series Corrosion Atlas Case Studies, and focused on the interaction of corrosion with fatigue and creep, modern protection systems, and the role of corrosion management in resilient, long-life infrastructure. The event was held with simultaneous English–Ukrainian interpretation and brought together engineers, researchers and infrastructure managers involved in Ukraine’s recovery.

On 8 October 2025 bridgeUkraine, together with University College London (UCL) and SE “NDI” (more information about Institute is here), delivered the online session “Strategic Dialogue: Digital Twins, LCCM and Sustainable Infrastructure Reconstruction.”

The discussion highlighted how Digital Twins and life-cycle cost management help optimise CAPEX/OPEX, improve risk control via LiDAR and sensors, and align with international standards (Gemini Principles). Speakers priorities and roadmap for digital construction in Ukraine.

On 31 July 2025 bridgeUkraine team delivered a round table  “Eurocodes: the UK experience and roadmap for the reconstruction of Ukraine”.

More than 100 engineers from Ukraine joined the session online. Discussion has covered the issue of assessment of the existing structure. Round table was organised by  State Enterprise “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” – SE “NIDI” (more information about Institute is here).


On 21 September 2023, over 130 Ukrainian engineers attended a seminar titled “An overview of structural health monitoring and load testing for asset management of bridges and civil infrastructure”. Seminar was organised by the M.P. Shulgin State Road Research Institute State Enterprise – DerzhdorNDI (more information about Institute is here).

On 27 October 2022 bridgeUkraine delivered seminar “Bridge management and reconstruction strategies for Ukraine” organised by the M.P. Shulgin State Road Research Institute State Enterprise – DerzhdorNDI (more information about Institute is here). Discussion has covered the following topics: “Resilient reconstruction of Ukraine“, “Bridge reconstruction“, “The value of asset management“.

A seminar was delivered on 22 September 2022 to more than 50 Ukrainian Engineers, titled “Stone bridges construction”, in collaboration with the M.P. Shulgin State Road Research Institute State Enterprise – DerzhdorNDI (more information about Institute is here).

An one day workshop was delivered to more than 160 Ukrainian engineers on 15 September 2022. The workshop was organised in collaboration with the M.P. Shulgin State Road Research Institute State Enterprise – DerzhdorNDI (more information about Institute is here).
