We are glad to share that on 7 October 2025, Professor Stergios-Aristoteles Mitoulis presented the research and educational initiatives of the BridgeUkraine Alliance during a meeting between the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, UCL.
This meeting marked an important step in the Ukraine–UK strategic partnership focused on advancing digital transformation and innovation. The United Kingdom remains one of Ukraine’s key allies in strengthening digital governance, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

As part of this collaboration, the UCL team – including Martin Scott, Sam Balch, Will Lovegrove, Stergios-Aristoteles Mitoulis, Professor Priti Parikh, Kaśka Porayska-Pomsta, and Philip Treleaven – joined discussions with Valeriya Ionan, Advisor to Mykhailo Fedorov, to explore opportunities for new joint projects in AI, GovTech, and education within the WINWIN Strategy.
We are proud to contribute through our Empower Ukraine initiative, which focuses on empowering Ukrainian students and engineers via online education and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Such initiatives are essential in promoting digital technologies in the education sector and accelerating Ukraine’s resilient and sustainable reconstruction.
At bridgeUkraine, we believe that innovation and knowledge exchange are key to building a stronger, future-ready Ukraine – together with our partners from the UK and UCL.
