On 13–14 November 2025, our BridgeUkraine.org team, together with colleagues from The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction (UCL), joined the 5th edition of ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy as an official exhibitor at EXPO XXI, Warsaw, Poland (Hall 1, booth E-32). Our stand was represented by Shchasiana Arhun, Dariia Berestok and Khrystyna Myroniuk.

This year ReBuild Ukraine brought together more than 6,000 participants, 762 companies from 33 countries and 23 national pavilions, including government institutions, municipalities, investors, international financial organisations and leading companies in construction, energy, logistics and materials for reconstruction. Against this impressive international backdrop, the BridgeUkraine stand offered a dedicated space to discuss how universities and industry can work together for Ukraine’s recovery.

Over two intensive days, more than 70 visitors stopped by our stand – representatives of universities, engineering companies, municipalities, international organisations and donors – to learn about BridgeUkraine and explore opportunities for cooperation. The atmosphere was very dynamic, with many meaningful conversations about how science, research and education can support the rebuilding of Ukrainian critical infrastructure.

We presented BridgeUkraine as an open academic–industry alliance that connects Ukrainian universities, researchers and practitioners with international partners. Our discussions focused on modernising engineering education, developing joint research in resilient and sustainable infrastructure, and creating practice-oriented training for Ukrainian engineers and students.
The results of our participation were very positive. We received strong interest in joint project proposals, visiting lectures and training programmes, as well as new ideas for partnerships that combine technical expertise with on-the-ground needs in Ukraine. The contacts made in Warsaw are now being followed up and translated into concrete next steps.
We are grateful to all visitors who came to our stand, shared their experience and expressed support for Ukraine. The BridgeUkraine team returns from ReBuild Ukraine energised and inspired to keep building a resilient and innovative future for Ukrainian infrastructure.
