Empower Ukraine – Data-Empowered On-Demand Digital Twins for Rebuilding Ukraine’s Damaged Infrastructure” has been awarded funding through the UCL Grand Challenges – Data Empowered Societies 2025/26 programme.
The project will explore how digital twins, AI, geospatial data, remote sensing, and data-driven decision support can be combined to support the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure in Ukraine. Our goal is to help transform large volumes of reconstruction-related data into actionable insights for more transparent, resilient, and evidence-based recovery planning. The initiative seeks to develop a data-to-action pipeline, connecting damage assessment, digital twins, infrastructure prioritisation, reconstruction planning, and stakeholder engagement. Through collaboration with academic, governmental, and industry partners in both the UK and Ukraine, we aim to advance innovative approaches for rebuilding infrastructure and communities affected by conflict.
